My Favorite Alcohol Free Beverages

One of the ways, I handled my cravings early on in my alcohol free journey was with alcohol free drinks. I knew that each day around 3:30 in the afternoon, I’d start thinking about having a drink. If I could make it till 7 in the evening without having a drink, I knew I was safe for the night.

So how did I get through that time each night? Alcohol free beverages!!

Alcohol free beverages were a HUGE lifesaver to me in the beginning. And I still LOVE them today.

Three Spirits

I was SO excited when I found this company. They are not setting out to imitate liquor. Instead, they created a whole new product that is “powered by plants” as they say. Their drinks are made with ethically sourced plants and herbs that give you a natural buzz. My favorite product of theirs is Livener because it has a little caffeine boost from green tea. I love it as a midday pick me up or when I am out for the evening and want to be alert and ready to socialize with my friends.

Beyond Livener, they have a product called Social Elixir that is tagged as the “Mood Maker” and Nightcap which is helps you wind down and relax for the evening with valerian root, lemonbalm, turmeric root and ashwagandha root.

Athletic Brewing Company

Back in the day, I was a beer drinker! I LOVED trying new craft beers and held a special place in my hear for IPA’s. Unfortunately, beer didn’t hold a special place for me in it’s heart. It just gave me a beer belly, lots of tummy issues, and terrible hangovers.

When I quit drinking, I would still crave a beer every now and then. I tried a few of the domestic non-alcoholic beers and they are okay, but when I tried the Athletic Brewing Company, I was HOOKED!! Athletic Brewing company is a craft beer company, but all of their beers are non-alcoholic. Plus, 5% of their sales go toward trail maintenance. I love hiking so I love this aspect of their brand.

I take Athletic Brewing Company beers with me anytime we’re headed out for an outdoor adventure, and I LOVE it after as day of yard work. It hits the spot just like a beer would, but I usually only drink one instead of 6 and it never leaves me an intense hangover because it’s alcohol free.

Topo Chico

I LOVE a good fizzy water. And there are SO MANY brands out there, but when I found Topo Chico, I was officially in love. It comes in this awesome bottle, that for whatever reason makes me feel like I’m having something more than just a fizzy water. Plus it is the bubbliest sparkling water I’ve ever tried. It is SO awesome.

GT’s Kombucha

Kombucha was my lifesaver when I was new to my alcohol free life. My husband and I actually started brewing it, and we really enjoy the process so much, but I know that brewing kombucha isn’t for everyone. I HIGHLY suggest the GT’s brand when it comes to kombucha. I’ve loved every flavor I’ve ever had by them, but their flavor, Trilogy, is one of my favorites.

Kombucha is a bonus drink, too, because it is SUPER good for your gut health. I think of it as a magical elixir that is healing my gut after all the damage I put it through with years of drinking.
